On June 11th, 2024, we attended an amazing concert by the National Academic Orchestra of Folk Instruments of Russia named after N.P. Osipov. We attended this concert along with a packed audience in the Chekhov Theater here in Yalta. The Moscow based group comes to Yalta once a year and we were fortunate to get tickets. We were spellbound by the two-hour concert that featured operatas, soloist musicians, and a dramatic reading of Alexander Pushkin’s short story, The Blizzard.
